$ 106.00I've been hoarding this insanely wonderful swimsuit for ages. I'm so crazy about the lobster embroidered on the front! One of my favorite things in the shop right now. This is a Rose Marie Reid design and is one of the first from her Skintite label, which she started in 1942 while still married to Jack Reid and before she moved to California from Canada. I see quite a few late 40s and later Rose Marie Reids, not so common to find the early 40s so this makes it extra special. Shoulder straps are adjustable, and are meant to be crisscrossed as I've shown it. Has an inner knit bra. Flirty skirt style with the bikini brief underneath. Metal zipper up the back. Label reads: Skintite Style , which is a Rose Marie Reid Design. Not sure of the fabric but there is no give to it and its has a sheen so probably a rayon or poly. The inner bra feels like a woven cotton or something else light. This is just the most incredible suit, I'll miss it!
$ 46.00 - Sold OutFantastic 1960s, late 50s swimsuit in palest blue. Bullet Bra with the inner bra built in. Princess seams for a great shape. Cute little skirt over the front. I'm not sure what this fabric is, but its supportive and a bit stretchy. And it has some very fun white sparkles on it, so it looks like you're covered in water droplets even when you're dry. :) No label.
$ 50.00Wonderful black bathing suit from the 50s. This is the top of what would have been a two piece. The bottoms are missing alas, but because of the length of this, one could adjust about any black bottoms and be fine, or a contrasting color for a peek a boo effect! Has adjustable shoulder straps with buttons that can be placed at any of three holes. Elasticize smocking at the sides. Its hard to see in the photos but do you see where the two center seams come together with the cute bows over it? Right there is a white center panel giving this a tuxedo look. The two black seams are not sewn together so one can see the white panel when one moves around. No labels, feels like a nylon parachute type material. Extra large size.
$ 66.00Fantastic 1960s black maillot swimsuit. Inner bra support, flirty skirt over the bottom. Halter style with back straps as well. Label reads: Robby Len Fashions. Extra cool bit of trivia about this swimsuit? It has another tag that reads: You're a "Snap" away from a better silhouette when you buy your snap in 'shape lee'. Robby Len patented this little bust enhancing inner bra like fixture in 1959 and introduced it in 1960. Poly, I'd say. With cotton, nylon and lycra in the lining and bra. Even better about this suit? Its a bigger size!
$ 56.00Fantastic 1960s possibly early 70s romper playsuit in a dark pink and green floral-ish print. Inner bra support, crisscross straps which are adjustable to 3 different lengths via buttons inside the top. Attached tie belt at the waist. Smocked back, and darling horizontal sweetheart pleats at the neckline. Princess seams. There is also an inner flesh colored nylon panty with elastic legs for modesty. Yay! Label reads: Roxanne, Bra Sized. And on the reverse it says size 10/ 32 B But do take that bearing in kind that vintage sizing is not the same as modern, so please check the measurements I've listed below. 100% cotton.
