Vintage 1940s Griffon Scissors or Shears

Lovely old scissors. To me they look like hair shears but I am unsure of that. Stamped on the side with Griffon, which was a cutlery maker until the 1960s. Probably circa 1940s or 50s give or take.
Measures just over 6.5" long.

Excellent vintage condition. Some of the silver color has darkened in areas but this only adds to its timeless charm.
