Absolutely gorgeous early 1950s white lace dress. Too small to fit on my dress forms, so I've pinned it here. Illusion lace, wide scoop neck. The lace overskirt is a full circle, the opaque layer underneath is not quite but very close. Gorgeous full length sleeves with eight tiny pearl buttons at each wrist and princess seams in the bodice. Small to extra small size, I'd say. No label, Metal zipper on the side. This was intended for a wedding dress based on the story I was told regarding this, but I think it'd be a great party dress as well nowadays.
Excellent vintage condition. There is some wear to the lace trim right at the neckline, where its pulled away from itself in a few places. See last photo for an example. And there is one dime sized hole in the lace in one armpit. All could perhaps be repaired or the neckline portion even replaced. Otherwise, I've seen nothing worth mentioning though there is an awful lot of lace here so forgive me if I missed something small. Price is based taking these into account.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 35"
Natural Waist: 26"
Drop Waist: 28'
Shoulder to natural waist: approx 16"
