Absolutely incredible 1920s dress in rich brown with lighter hold brown trim. There are decorative buttons all down the front which are echoed at the hips. A tie at the collar that you can arrange in any number of ways. Hook and eyes at both sleeve cuffs. And a larger size for this era too, its pinned to my dress form to show the shape. The dress looks and feels like wool or a wool blend, the trim feels like silk. While the buttons down the front are decorative, it is meant to just pull over the head, there are a few snaps at the top there to make pulling it on a bit easier. Label reads: None.
This came to me from an old Hollywood costume designer who happened to also be a collector of vintage clothing. She had the most incredible collection all 1800s through the earlier 1950s. I consider these some of the most special pieces I've had.
Excellent vintage condition. Especially for its age. Very wearable. There are a few small holes in various places, most on the skirt both front and back, the largest maybe pea sized. And some of the trim is a bit frayed or missing small sections of it. See photos.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: approx. 45"
Natural waist: approx. free up to 48"
Hips: free up to about 50"
Shoulder to Bottom Hem: 44"
