Vintage 1920s Ivory Silk Robe De Style Dress

Absolutely incredible 1920s rare robe de style dress in delicious ivory silk and lace. I believe the lace is silk as well. Just look at this beauty. Robe de style dresses were a short lived style in the 1920s that had the drop waist typical of the era but with a wide skirt usually meant to over a hip bustle of sorts called panniers--echoing the fashions of the 18th century. Some of them had the panniers built in, this one does not. This has the wider skirts and a single narrow front panel ( see photo of the skirt being pulled to the side to see what I mean). It would be very wearable as is without panniers but f you want the robe de style look one could easily wear another piece with them underneath. Has sweet little rosettes at the neck and waist and that lace collar! Side snaps, and the skirt ties in front. Label reads: None.
Excellent vintage condition, remarkable really for its age. There are very few signs of its age. I have not spotted a single hole and the silk seems to be holding up very well. The lace also seems intact. The only really flaw is a area of discoloration right at the front just above the waistline. This can be seen in the photos. There are a few other discolored areas, such as the armpits and some other minor marks.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip
Armpit to armpit across bust: 35"
Natural waist: approx. 30"
Drop Waist: 30"
Hips: free
Shoulder to Bottom Hem: 45.5"
