Vintage 1960s Dress in Blue Chiffon by Elinor Gay

Stunning fit and flare party dress from the 1960s. Peacock blue ( its even prettier than in the photos) chiffon over a dusty lavender acetate under layer. Phenomenal pleated shawl collar. Full skirt- the lining underneath is not a full circle but the chiffon appears to be, or very close. Metal zipper up the back. Label reads: Elinor Gay Original. Small size, I'd say. There are thread loops for a belt but no belt alas. 

Excellent vintage condition. There are a couple of pea sized holes and one about 2 peas smushed together on the chiffon of the skirt, there is also, near those, a very faint shadow. All are totally hidden in the folds really.  The bodice has a pea sized shadow as well near the zipper on the right shoulder. Its so faint it didn't even show in the photos but I felt I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention it. That's it. All in all an exceptionally lovely dress! 

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 39"
Waist: 27"
Hips: full
Shoulder to waist: 14"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 38"
