Amazing dress from the late 50s, early 1960s in what feels like black silk taffeta. Light bullet shape bodice with that daring bow front and center and opening to a pleated bubble overskirt. The skirt is naturally that full. Has a built in layer of tulle and an underskirt thats more pencil shape. Very Carven style ( and I happen to know several of her styles were copied for this particular line at Bergdorf Goodman, so..). Label says: Petite Couture Collection, Designed in Paris for Miss Bergdorf, Bergdorf Goodman, On the Plaza, New York. I'd say medium size. Zipper up the back. Very special dress.
Excellent, near mint, vintage condition. The only thing to note is some extremely mild creasing in the armpits. And I almost didn't even bother mentioning that.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip
Armpit to armpit across bust: 40" its semi dolman sleeved.
Hips: 40" ( the underskirt)
Shoulder to natural waist: 15"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 41"

I do my utmost best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected, and there are occasionally small things I won't deem worthy of note.
