Vintage 1940s Woman's Pocket or Pendant Watch

The Black Velvet Emporium

1 Available

Incredible woman's pocket watch or pendant from about the 1940s. Watch is just about 1.25" in diameter not including the loop on top. Appears to be some sort of gold tone metal, steel perhaps? Beautiful design on the back too. Has a white face with darker gold numbers and hands. Seems to work just fine. Around the actual time face is another frame with little shining designs that I thought were rhinestones at first but upon closer inspection realized when the watch is wound and ticking those little shiny bits move round the design. Its incredible! You have to look closely to see it but its really neat. The top pulls out to adjust the time and once pushed back in you simply wind it. There is a loop for a fob or chain. Hammond is the maker on the face. Tracking down that company has been tricky. There was a clock maker in the late 20s through early 40s by that name but the logo is different so I am not sure it's the same.

Excellent vintage condition. Apart from some tarnish to the metal and face cover its in great shape.

I do my utmost best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected, and there are occasionally small things I won't deem worthy of note.
