Vintage 1940s Actor Jack Carson Film Costume

Toadstool Farm Vintage

1 Available

Impressive military style costume jacket and trousers. Worn by, or made for at least, actor Jack Carson in the 40s. Looks and feels like wool. Green with beige soutache trim. The jacket could maybe actually be a shirt because it has a panel that goes under the crotch and buttons to the other side, so I assume its meant to be tucked into the trousers. That said, it really looks more like a jacket to me so I'll let you decide. The trousers are high waisted as in the style of the era, cuffed and have a metal zipper. The labels are wonderful.  They each read: Warner Brothers, have Jack's name and the year 1945.  Really this is an extraordinary piece of film history. Will be shipped with insurance.
This comes from an enormous collection of Old Hollywood Movie Costumes I was lucky enough to stumble across. More about those later after the measurements so please read on...
Excellent vintage condition. This is till very wearable but should really be in a collection or even a museum. Its pretty wonderful all round. The trousers are basically mint with the minor exception of a bit of smudging on the soutache trim. The jacket/shirt shows the same type of smudges on the trim and also some color fade, especially round the shoulders.  I've seen no holes or tears on either.  Please note that all items in this Costume section may have minor other flaws ( or example; missing snaps, small areas of loose seams, pinholes, etc..)  that I have not listed as its just not possible to find and or list every minor thing as these have lived quite a life! Priced accordingly, As Is and Final Sale.

PLEASE READ: I acquired an absolutely enormous collection of Hollywood movie costumes. Ranging across the board from Paramount, Universal, Unified Costumers and more. The last known film much of the items were used in was Lawrence of Arabia but we have no way of knowing which ones and there are others from other films. Most likely they were used on extras or smaller roles, I have not come across anything I can pinpoint to a major name from that film.  Many of these were made much earlier, and I have found dates written on tags within from as early as the 1940s, though I believe some are even earlier.  I have given as much information as I can about each item in the listing. Much has been lost to time however.  That said, these are an extraordinary piece of movie history and I'm honored to be a part of it all.
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
