Antique 1800s Victorian Belt Or Waist Cincher

Toadstool Farm Vintage

1 Available

Incredible belt or waspie type waist cincher circa the late 1800s/early 1900s. Ivory silk with touches of purple that were perhaps meant to be flowers originally, I'm not sure. Boning that I believe is whale bone. Has an ivory fabric back. 2.5" to 4.5" wide.  Measures 25" from end to end at its longest point ( the top corners). Closes with hooks and eyes.  No label.
Fair to poor vintage condition.  The inner structure is in fairly decent shape and the hardware is still sound, so it could technically still be worn, though very gently. But the exterior silk is pretty shattered and has been flattened and faded. Its probably best for a collection, or display, or to use as a study or pattern. Priced accordingly and as is.
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
