Vintage 1980's Gianfranco Ferre Dress

Drool worthy Gianfranco Ferre dress in ivory wool. Theres so much to love here. Lets start with its fit and flare shape. Then the two hip pockets. How about those split sleeves with the long cuffed black lining beneath. Or the slit in the front of the skirt underneath a box pleat. The black trim and the back bodice panel. its all so good. Zips up the back and has more box pleats there and at the sides. Black lining is rayon but it feels like silk. Has shoulder pads. , You could wear with a crinoline for a bit of added fullness if you like but I've shown it without one. 

Excellent vintage condition. The only issues are a handful of moth nibbles that some clever person has patched at some point. Please see photo for example of this and note its priced accordingly. Otherwise I haven't spotted any stains or other real issues. There is about a half inch at the waist where some of the decorative stitching has loosened. There are slits in the seams of the black lining under both armpits but I believe thats how its intended to be.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: about 35"  this is a dolman and with all the openings etc this is a hard measurement to get. I'd go off the other measurements primarily and just use the bust as a guide.
Waist:  27"
Hips: full
Shoulder to waist: 14.5" - 15"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 40"
