Antique 1880s Book, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "The Poetical Works"

Beautiful antique book, "The Poetical Works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow". Published in 1886 by Houghton Mifflin and Company. Brown hardcover made to resemble wood grain with gold embossing, gold gilt edge pages and a burgundy satin ribbon page marker. Measures approx. 8" x 5".
Great to fair vintage condition. The most notable issue is that the front cover has completely come away from the spine and is now a separate piece. Might I suggest tying a pretty ribbon or some lace round it all when not reading if you don't wish to have it repaired? The spine itself is holding on but loose. Other than that, the pages appear intact and readable and not brittle though somewhat yellowed with age. There is a note from a previous owner on the flyleaf.
