Stunning blouse, circa 1990s / 1900s and is most likely a mourning blouse. Jet beads in a lattice pattern down the front. Pleating at the shoulders and down the back. Leg O' Mutton sleeves. Looks and feels like a cotton possibly a cotton/silk blend. Hooks up the front and has an inner "vest" lining in milk chocolate brown that also hooks up the front. No labels, larger size.
Excellent vintage condition. Still incredibly wearable. It does have a couple pinhead sized holes here and there, and is missing one half of a hook and eye.. The only real issue to note is a tear in the inner brown lining. It runs from the bottom hem of said lining to the armpit. It could quite easily be stitched and as the lining is inside, it wont show. My seamstress skills are moderate enough that I was concerned about messing it up, so I've left it. But if your skills are worse than mine I'd be happy to run a needle up it for you. I just wont swear it'll be the best seamstress job you've ever seen. :)
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust and waist.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 46"
Waist: The black portion is quite free. I measured the brown lining at 31" But you could leave it unhooked if you need/want more room.
Shoulder to bottom hem: 22.5"
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions.
