Jaw dropping-ly beautiful morning or dressing gown, circa 1900s to 1910s. Deep blue silk with gold and blue trim. There is ivory silk piping at the collar and cuffs. This is am empire waist. Hook and eyes up the back and a collar that is partly detachable. The bodice is lined in milk chocolate brown
Excellent vintage condition. This is imminently wearable and has only some very minor flaws to mention. When I look from the inside I can see light shining through a few pinholes but the skirt is so very voluminous they aren't really seen from the exterior. The collar is missing a couple hooks and eyes, and some of the soutache could do with a few stitches to tack it down. The fabric has some mild pilling.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust and waist.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 42"
Waist: 41" empire, where the trim goes across.
Shoulder to bottom hem: 53"
