CLEARANCE: Vintage 1940s White Nightgown With Keyhole Back By Lady Edso
Lovely 1940s nightgown in an almost silvery white. The bodice front is all lace with a pretty pink bow in the center. The back is solid, but with a keyhole opening. There is smocking at the waist in front. Label says : Lady Edso. And lets us know this is Acetate and Rayon. Medium size, I'd say. Please see condition.
Good to great vintage condition. This is still very wearable, but does have some issues worth noting. There are some small holes in the lace, perhaps you can repair these? The sheer mesh horizontal strips in between the lace have some pinholes. Nothing too threatening though. The bottom of the keyhole opening needs a few stitches. There are some seams at the bottom that need to be restitched as well, I believe there are about three two inch long areas. Also there are some stains and smudges on the front near the bottom. I've shown photos of most of these issues. As is, priced accordingly, and why its in my Scratch and Dent section.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist, and hip. Armpit to armpit across bust: 42" The keyhole back and the give of the lace makes this quite a flexible measurement here. Waist: 24" to 34" Also flexible due to smocking Hips: free up to about 50" Shoulder to bottom hem: approx 61"
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions.
