Vintage 1930s "American Woman's Cook Book" by Ruth Berolzheimer

Wonderful vintage cookbook from the 30s. 1939 to be exact. "The American Woman's Cook Book" by Ruth Berolzheimer and published by Consolidated Book Publishers for the Culinary Arts Institute. If I was a cook I would keep this. and Ill tell you why....whomever this book belonged to ( and her name was Virginia if the letter within is any indication) stored lots of little scraps of paper ephemera within it: letters, poems birthday cards...most but not all have to do with cooking. Its so much fun discovering these pieces of history within this wonderful book. Its quite a heavy book, shipping will reflect this weight. 
It measures about .25" x 5.5". Generally its still in great vintage condition. One of the covers along the spine is loose but holding on and there are typical signs of age. The actual recipe pages seem to be still very much intact though slightly yellowed with age. This is a charming addition to any cook's library!
