Stunning 1930s wedding gown in a champagne / darker ivory velvet. Simple and classic lines. Blousy bodice with a high neckline. Long sleeves ending in a point over the back of the hand with snaps at the wrist. Double row of buttons up the back. No label. This does have some issues, please read below.
Great vintage condition. This is absolutely gorgeous but there are several unfortunate stains pretty much all over the skirt potion. Bodice is mostly free of stains with the exception of faint marks in the armpits. The stains dont bother me as much as the disintegration in one armpit however. Please see photo. The other armpit is fine. Otherwise this seems to be fine and with some tlc could probably be worn ( stabilize those tears for one thing and maybe shore up the other armpit too just in case). I do not know f the stains will come out, I did not have any luck but I didn't try very hard due to not trusting this to be soaked. I dont have a dry cleaner here I trust with vintage, but perhaps you do? The only other thing to mention are the two lines of buttons in back..there is no way to connect them so some lacing or something will need to be come up with. This is price accordingly, as is and all this its why its my Scratch and Dent section. I hope someone can bring this back to life with more than my meagre skills! It would also of course, be perfect for pattern, study, display or upcycling
Measurements when lying flat.
Bust: 40" It was hard to get this due to the buttons not being buttoned so bear in mind if its off by a little.
Waist: 32"
Hip: 40"
Shoulder to waist: approx. 15"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 58"
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
