Vintage 1940s Black Silk Satin Dressing Gown

This fantastic black satin dressing gown is 1940s, full length and utterly dramatic. A burn test was not completely conclusive as to whether it is entirely silk or a silk blend but either way its stunning and you will feel like the most glamorous celebrity wearing it. I almost kept it for myself. Small shoulder pads gives this that classic 1940s silhouette. Slightly longer than 3/4 length bell sleeves with gorgeous silver satin lining. Semi wrap style with snaps inside and outside at the side waist. More saps at the bust area. Unlined other than the sleeve ends and the belt. No label.

Excellent vintage condition. There is some color fade along the right shoulder line. Thats really all I could find worth noting. This is definitely a special piece.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
These are as is with the snaps where they are, you can shift them one direction or the other to get a couple inches either way where needed.

Shoulder to bottom hem: Approx. 56"
