Rare 1940s dressing gown or robe. Navy blue rayon with a print of red and white circles. Plus size and comfortable. Has two button closures, a large side pocket at one hip, and cuffed sleeves. The front is lovely hanging open but there is one snap inside the collar area and it pulls over for modesty. I believe there used to be a snap on the other side as well but if so it's gone now. I've pinned it to show this. There is one half of a hook and eye at the waist on one side, but I've not been able to determine anything that this goes to unless it was for a belt that's no longer with us. Label days Brendelle Original. Excellent vintage condition. No stains or holes or tears that I've seen. There is one small area of wear at one shoulder, see photo, but thats it.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip Armpit to armpit across bust: 45" because this is an open front I've measured seam to seam across the back and doubled. There will be more room than this. Waist: 43" Hips: free Shoulder to waist: approx 15.5" Shoulder to bottom hem: 51"
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
