This dress from the 1940s is just such a classic example of the era. Navy blue with a floral print in minty green, cream and coral pink. Has a spattering of little floral appliques at one shoulder. V neck with ruching towards the waist, and a tie belt that ties towards the side giving the illusion and feel of a wrap dress even tough its not a true wrap. Quite long waisted .Short sleeves. Side metal zipper. Medium sized, I'd say. No label.
Excellent to great vintage condition. Overall its quite fine but there are a few small holes at the back of the neck and on one sleeve, some very mild fade along the shoulders, and one sleeve is missing the small bow that the other still has. I also see a small white spot of two under one arm that really just blend into the pattern on the dress.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip. The fabric does have some slight give so you can probably squeak an extra inch out of these without alteration though it'd be snug. Armpit to armpit across bust: 39" Waist: 28" Hips: 40" Shoulder to waist: 17.5" Shoulder to bottom hem: 44"
