Vintage 1940s Wildflower Print Dress

Lovely vintage 1940s dress with a fantastic print of what seem to be wildflowers and perhaps grasses in shades of yellow, brown and gray on a white background. V neck with pleats and a button and tab detail. Shoulder pads. Short sleeves. Side metal zipper. Extra large sized, I'd say. Label reads: Rite-Fit Dresses. Looks and feels like a light cotton, perhaps a blend.

Excellent to great vintage condition. Overall its quite fine but there are a few small areas that look like they have some previous repairs. There is also an area near the waist that has what appears to be some green paint on it, but it mostly blends into the busy print, see photo. This is a darling dress, one of my current favorites.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 44"
Waist: 36"
Hips: loose up to 54"
Shoulder to waist: 16"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 45"
