Stunning 1950s dress in a gorgeous dark gray tweed gray with a winter white angora ( or perhaps mohair? I'm not sure) stripe down the front and round the neckline. Hip pockets too! Gorgeous dolman sleeves with narrow wrists that has zippers at the end. Almost but just shy of a full circle skirt. Inside the waistline is a black grosgrain ribbon "belt" with hook and eye closures. I have not seen one of these before so its a mystery to me why it's on the inside, but I imagine it has to do with keeping the bodice in place right at the waist and not adding any stress to the seams. Label reads: Beldon Cann Inc. About a medium, I'd say. This is, I believe, one of my absolute favorite dresses I've ever had come through my shop. It is utterly divine.
Excellent near mint, vintage condition. I have seen absolute nothing to report. Have I mentioned just how much I love this dress?
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 40" to 41" its a dolman sleeve so there is some play here
Shoulder to waist: approx 16"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 46"
