This is a stunning vintage dress in deepest midnight blue velvet made by a talented seamstress with very 1950s pencil dresses and construction in mind. I suspect though that its not 1950s based on the velvet, it seems newer. Still vintage though, just not sure exactly how old. Has a line of darling matching roses round the neckline. 3/4 sleeve, pencil skirt with a slit in back, slight bullet shape to the bust.  Scooped neckline in front and  back with those gorgeous roses.  I'd say small to medium size. No label.   There is a nylon zipper up the back, but its not original to the dress, when you look inside the seam you can see where the old one was removed. Thats of course, not noticeable from the outside though.  I should mention the wrists are narrow, they measure 7" around. There are small slits at the end of either one and if you should need a bigger opening you could open those up a little bit more. 

Excellent vintage condition. One or two of the roses could perhaps do with an extra stitch or two holding them on, but thats it really.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip
Armpit to armpit across bust: 35" 
Waist: 27" 
Hips: 38"
Shoulder to waist: 14.5"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 43.5"
