Vintage 1950s Framed Art Print, 1700s Georgiana Spencer Dutchess of Devonshire Portrait
Lovely framed and matted print of Georgiana the Duchess of Devonshire (nee Lady Georgiana Spencer, born 1757--this is the character Keira Knightly plays in the film "The Dutchess"). Print is circa 1950s. Matted in pale peach which has faded to have areas of soft white for a really charming feminine effect. The print is in faded green and pink and grey. The frame is wood like ( I think maybe a resin or syroca) with gold paint in a faux finish over cream. Measures a hair over 18" tall and a hair under 16" wide, including the frame. Has the wire for hanging and a sticker on the back saying its was framed correctly at The Little Gallery in Winnipeg Canada.
Excellent vintage condition. There are some cracks in the wood frame, but nothing that compromises its stability and to me they only add charm. The prints colors are lightly faded as mentioned, but again, to me this is the charm of it all.
