Vintage 1950s Ivory and Gray Cashmere Sweater by Dalton

The softest, more cuddly cashmere sweater from the 1950s by Dalton, Ivory with a heather gray line round the neck and then straight down the bodice. Little V at the bottom of the waist front and center. High neck with the tiniest sweetest row of nine perfect little shell buttons up the back of the neck. 34 sleeves but a bit longer than the typical 60s look. Label reads: Dalton, 100% Virgin Cashmere". In the medium range, but flexible due to the knit having give and how beautifully the cashmere drapes. So ok for probably a small to a smaller large. I think this may be one of my favorite sweaters I've ever had in my shop for two reasons. One is because the coloring and that gray stripe is the reverse of my favorite ever dress that was gray with a white stripe in the same formation. Excellent vintage condition. You would be shocked if you'd seen this gorgeous thing when I found her. She was quite literally almost completely covered in orangey foxing stains and smudges. Several careful soakings and lots of tlc later and look at how beautiful and near perfect she is! I'm pretty proud to be honest. The only signs of her former neglected state are a couple pinhead sized faint dots and a tiny moth nibble at the collar in back. 

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip
Armpit to armpit across bust: 43" with plenty of give 
Waist: at the bottom hem 28" 

Shoulder to bottom hem: 21.5"
