Vintage 1950s Made Rite 761 Boar Bristle Shaving Brush
Collectible shaving brush from about the 1950s. Natural hair bristles ( perhaps boars hair?), set in a bakelite/celluloid base. The whole thing is 425" long, and the bristles alone are 2" long. Stamped in the bottom with "Made Rite, U.S.A. Sterilized, set in rubber. 7671" ( please note that I have not re-sterilized it) .
Excellent vintage condition. The bristles seem fine, not brittle though a few do shed here and there and they have a vague faint pinkish case to the tips so perhaps someone used this for makeup of some sort or powder. The base is sturdy.
Please note: This is a vintage, preworn and/or preloved item, and as such is one of a kind and not eligible for returns or refunds. I do my utmost best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected, and there are occasionally small things I won't deem worthy of note. Please feel free to send me a missive with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
