Gorgeous navy blue dress circa 1950s, possibly later 40s. Simple, classic tailored shape, sleeveless, higher scoop neckline, longer length skirt. Princess seams front and back. This fabric has the look of a linen but I don't believe it is as it doesn't seem to wrinkly like linen. Possibly some sort of lightweight cotton barkcloth or heavier muslin maybe even a rayon or something like that. Either way its soft and flowy and nice. I wish it would fit me actually, its got such classic lines. Metal zipper up the back. No label. in the medium range I'd say.
Excellent vintage condition. No tears or stains. A few pinhead size holes on the front of the bodice. There are a few teeth missing from the zipper as well, but it doesn't seem to stop it from working.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip. Armpit to armpit across bust: 38" Waist: 30" Hips: 42" Shoulder to bottom hem: 44"
