Vintage 1950s Peach Dress with Tulips

Toadstool Farm Vintage

A part of me believes this is a sundress, another part of me thinks a waitress uniform. All of me believes this is incredibly cute! Latest 1940s or early 1950s. Peach cotton with sweet dark raspberry tulip appliques up the front. Short puffed sleeves ( no shoulder pads), dainty pointed collar and five buttons up the neckline that look like bakelite to me. There are two ties at the sides to go round back and I suspect there was a buckle there at one point but its no longer with us. You could replace it or just tie it in a gentle knot as I've shown here. No label. Medium sized I'd say.

Excellent vintage condition. I can't find a single thing to note other than the faintest smudge on one collar, so faint I nearly missed it. Also it looks like there were "leaves" on the tulips at one point that have been taken off but those signs are not noticeable unless you're looking for them.

Measurements taken with dress laid flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 40"
Waist: up to 34" depending on how tight you pull the ties.
Hips: 40"
Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 41.5"

Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
