Vintage 1950s Puppy Dog Embroidered Set

Utterly charming vintage pillow covers ( just the top, not the whole cover), placemats, or wall hangings (I'm not 100% sure exactly what their purpose is, but they'd work for any of those). Each embroidered with adorable puppy dogs doing various puppy dog things.  So cute! Feels to me like a cotton blend. They are obviously home made. Each measures approx. 19" long and 12.5" wide.  All are in excellent vintage condition, just minor sigs of age on one or two. The backs of a couple look like they were removed or perhaps intended to be stitched on to something else. Which is why I think they were meant as pillow covers. The listing is for the set of seven.  Has been gently laundered and ironed by yours truly.
