Vintage 1960s Brown Satin And Lace Harold Levine for Al Cooper Full Length Gown

Toadstool Farm Vintage

1 Available

This dress is so beautifully constructed. Lets start with the bodice. Brown lace and soutache over a flesh colored rayon lining. Peter Pan collar. Snaps up the front and one hook and eye at the top. Long unlined sleeves with those gorgeous cuffs at the bottom. Now the skirt. Floor length, very full, rich espresso brown satin over an acetate lining. Matching fabric covered buttons all down the front. All but the top three of those buttons are decorative only. Matching satin covered wide belt. There's two labels. One on the skirt reads: Harold Levine Original, which is the designer, and the other on the bodice reads: Al Cooper, which I believe is the store. Larger size this dress!

Excellent vintage condition. If you go over every inch you'll come across a pea sized hole on the collar where one layer of the double layer of mesh. But you can only see it if you're really, really inspecting because the second layer just makes it disappear. And there is a small area of the soutache that is loose, but could easily be stitched down, and the wide belt covers it anyway. And if I'm being even pickier than that there is maybe some light pilling on some parts of the soutache. But seriously, that's being insanely picky. The only real issues are with the belt. The underside of it has some wear. You can't see any of that though when its being worn.
