Incredible white cotton shirt circa the late 1800s or early 1900s. This would have been a fancy boy's shirt then, worn for formal occassions. But nowdays most likely it would be intended for a girl in most cases. Wonderful pintucking, and lace and ruffles at both cuffs and along one side of the placket and round the neck. Three shell buttons up the front--please note that there are and never were any buttons on the bottom half of the placket. Slightly A line shape. No label. Child's sized but do see measurements, its loose enough that perhaps a very petite woman and young teen could wear it as well if the sholder measurement will work.
Excellent vintage condition. There is a pea sized hole on the back,a s shown in the last photo. And I did just now pot a quarter inch long spot on the sleeve cuff where the lace has come loose from th sleeve, easily stitched back. This would be lovely for display as well.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust and waist.
Shoulder to shoulder: 14"
Armpit to armpit across bust: 40"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 19"
