Vintage 1950s 1960s John Weitz Purple Gingham Check Cotton Dress

Darling vintage 1960s, possibly later 1950s, cotton dress in a pretty light purple and white gingham check. Long full cuffed sleeves and a full skirt with a small built in tulle crinoline, though I've shown it here with another. Buttons down the back to the waist. Such a sweet dress. Label reads: John Weitz for Montgomery Ward. Probably about a medium.

Excellent vintage condition. Its missing one of the buttons in the back, and some of the color has faded in areas. It does appear the buttons at the wrists have been moved to make them tighter, could easily be moved again to their original position.

Measurements taken with dress laid flat. Doubled at bust, waist, and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 38"
Waist: 27"

Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 42"
