Hand Plant Dyed Yellow Linen Vintage Handkerchief with Crochet Lace Trim

This vintage linen handkerchief trimmed in crochet lace is sure to lift your spirits with its sunny color! Hand dyed with turmeric to a cheerful lemon yellow. Trimmed round the edges with pretty crochet lace. Measures a diminutive 12" square. Perfect poking cheerfully out of a pocket or to warm up the inside of a purse with its bright color.
We use natural botanical dyes we make ourselves from locally sourced plant and spice materials to create one of a kind and unique colors for our hand dyed items. Slight irregularities ( and more so in any vintage items due to their age and previous lives) in shading and tone are to be expected and all part of their unique charm.  This one has one spot of darker color, looks like possibly some adhesive residue from a label way back when this was a new hanky was in the fibers and took up the color more. 
We recommend washing by hand with cold water to preserve the natural colors as long as possible though expect that they may gently fade over time.

Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry. Lightly iron or steam to flatten if you wish.
