F.A.Q.s

How do I know what condition this will be in? Why does it look worn?

Please remember that all items are vintage and previously owned, worn and loved, and in most cases are at least 50 years old and many much older. There will be signs of wear that are inevitable. I carefully inspect every piece and will describe conditions to the best of my ability, but some minor signs of wear should be expected. Remember, vintage items are sold in as is condition. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have concerning the condition of an item you are considering, before purchase.

I'm a size Six/Twelve/Zero/Whatever.  Will this fit me? Why don't you list a number size?

Modern sizing is extremely different than vintage sizing. The only true way to know if a garment will fit you correctly is to know or take your measurements and compare it to the measurements given with the item listing.  Remember, in most cases, you'll want to be a smidgen smaller than the measurement. Also something to bear in mind is that I only have a couple dress forms so most clothing has to be pinned to fit my forms.  Do not go off the photo to determine size, it may be quite a bit larger than it appears ( or smaller)  Please don't hesitate to contact me for help with sizing before you place your order. I'm always happy to get additional measurements, check to see if there is enough seam allowance to allow for alterations, etc...

What's it gonna cost me to ship this and how long is it gonna take?

I do my level best to ship as inexpensively as possible, but please do understand that I also want your items to arrive in perfect condition and so will attempt to pack with great care and this may cost a little extra. Shipping is done from our Pacific Northwest location. All orders are shipped via United States Priority Mail or First Class or parcel  mail depending on the item/s. If you would like me to ship it another way, please let me know when you order and I'll will do my best to accommodate you. I try to get orders out within a couple of business days of receiving them but during busy times, it might take longer. Calculating shipping on multiple items can be tricky at best. Rest assured if your order comes in able to ship for more than a buck or two less than you were charged, you will be refunded any overages.

Do you take consignment? Donations?

I do not take consignment. I do buy straight out however.  Please note that we only buy items from about the 1960s or older. (though we'd maybe check out your 70s items too). Please call or mail  for more information.

I don't really like it now that I have it. Help.

Your happiness is of the utmost importance to me, so please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I am always happy to be of help. Due to the vintage, one of a kind, nature of the items I sell, I do consider sales to be final. Occasional exceptions are made ( i.e., Gross misrepresentation of an item, or shipping damage) , so if you feel you may qualify for one of them, please contact me. Any returns that do qualify are for Store Credit only. Returns are not considered on sale items, intimates/lingerie, issues of fit or slight color differences ( as monitors tend to vary slightly), or for change of heart, so do please choose carefully and ask me any questions prior to placing your order. I am always up for a chat, so don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks!
