Antique 1900s Edwardian Mourning Dress

The Black Velvet Emporium

Stunning dress, circa 1900s 1910s and is most likely a mourning dress. Has the "pigeon" front bodice so characteristic of the era, a high neck and beautiful ivory lace applique at the collar. Silk, with long sleeves and a box pleat in the back of the skirt and another in the front. Hook and eye closures. Unlined. Simple but oh so striking. Extra small size I'd say.
Excellent vintage condition, for its age. Its still wearable but it does need to be treated with respect and there are some issues that need some TLC that are above my meagre seamstress skills. There are a few tears, but they do seem to be actual tears, not shattering of the silk, so patching would probably fix these. See photos for an example. Some seams will need to be re-stitched. There is some foxing on the ivory lace applique that I did not deem worth risking the dress to try to get out. Its priced according to these.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust and waist.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 37"
Waist: 24" If you're a good enough seamstress there is some seam and darts that would allow letting this out an inch or so.
Shoulder to waist: 15"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 53.5"
