Antique 1910s Blue Silk Satin Dress

Stunning navy blue antique 1910s dress in silk satin. Delicate vintage chiffon and lace collar trim. V neck with an ivory modesty panel of the same chiffon and lace with teeny tiny buttons. The blue satin cross over the bust and attaches to the opposite side. The skirt consists of a straight underskirt with a loose overskirt open in front and embellished with buttons down the length of either side. The bodice is lined in muslin, the rest is unlined. There is no label. Small to extra small.

Excellent vintage condition. For a silk piece of its age it has held up rather remarkably and it very wearable though with respect due its years of course. I did spot a couple small holes, but I see no shattering on the blue silk. The chiffon collar does have some shattering however, and would be best replaced, though the lace there is still sound, and the little modesty panel is in better shape. The muslin lining has some foxing. There are some snaps that are loose and a few seams that could do with some stitches.

Hips: The underskirt is free up to about 50"
Shoulder to waist: 15"
Shoulder to bottom hem of underskirt: 49"
