Vintage 1940s R&K Originals Wool Tweed Two Piece Suit

This may be my favorite suit I've ever had in the shop. Wonderful tweed skirt and jacket in shades of brown and white from about the later 40s or perhaps early 50s. Jacket is a tailored New Look style with a warm chocolate brown velvet collar and matching fabric covered buttons. Dolman sleeves. Hip pockets and darling turned up sleeve cuffs. And look at those box pleats at the shoulders! The skirt is a mild A line and has a side zipper with button at the top. Both jacket and skirt are unlined. This is a really extraordinary suit. Label reads: R&K Originals.

Excellent, near mint, vintage condition.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hips.
Jacket:
Armpit to armpit across bust: 42"
Waist: 32"
Shoulder to waist: 15.5"

Shoulder to bottom hem 22"

Skirt:
Waist: 28.5" with a bit of room to shift the button to go up to 29" or so
Hips: 41"
Waist to bottom hem: 31"
