Gorgeous black velvet toreador pants with rim in red velvet, and teal.  Hook and eyes at the hips on both sides. High and wide waistband. Tiny buttons at both leg cuffs. Inside is the original costumer house label: Associated Costumers, 6356 Hollywood Blvd GRanite 357. This label is of such historical significance, as that is the address of a historical Hollywood landmark, and the GRanite 357 is a pre 1960s phone number. Operators dialed the first two letters of the region (GRanite) and then the four numbers. Thats why he 1st two letters are capitalized in GRanite. I just adore these pieces of history!
This comes from an enormous collection of Old Hollywood Movie Costumes I was lucky enough to stumble across. More about those later after the measurements so please read on...
Great vintage condition. These are still very wearable. But there are a few places where some minor tlc is needed. One is the crotch has a seam that needs restitching and te other are some missing buttons on one leg cuff.  Priced accordingly, As Is and Final Sale.
Measurements taken lying flat. Doubled at waist, and hip.
Waist: 30"
Hip: free to 44'
waist to bottom hem: 29"
PLEASE READ: I acquired an absolutely enormous collection of Hollywood movie costumes. Ranging across the board from Paramount, Universal, Unified Costumers and more. The last known film much of the items were used in was Lawrence of Arabia but we have no way of knowing which ones and there are others from other films. Most likely they were used on extras or smaller roles, I have not come across anything I can pinpoint to a major name from that film. Many of these were made much earlier, and I have found dates written on tags within from as early as the 1940s, though I believe some are even earlier. I have given as much information as I can about each item in the listing. Much has been lost to time however. That said, these are an extraordinary piece of movie history and I'm honored to be a part of it all.
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
