Vintage 1940s Wool Blouse From World War Two

How fortunate am I to have come across not one but two of these 1940s woman's wool army shirts? Short sleeves with very cute little triangle cut details to the cuffs ( see last photo). Cropped shape, button waist band in the back which is adjustable to three different settings ( 1st button, second button or unbuttoned completely). Collar is lined, but the rest is not. One breast pocket. Labell ( which is very helpful actually), says Imported Japan, Frontier Wools, 95% virgin wool, 5% nylon, size Small, single needle WPL 926.

Excellent vintage condition. Some moth holes in both shirts but that's really it. Both shirts are approximately in the same condition, and are the same size.


Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust and waist.
Shoulder to shoulder: 15"
Armpit to armpit across bust: 40"
Waist: 35" - 38" ( depending on if the back waist buttons are done or not)
Shoulder to bottom hem: 21"
