Vintage 1940s Straw Hat with Velvet Ribbon Trim and Birdcage Veil

Special wide brimmed straw hat from the late 1940s. 1949 to be exact if my research is correct. The hat itself is incredible with its natural woven straw, navy blue velvet ribbon and birdcage veil. Not to mention the little red bow put in there for that special something. But do look at the underside! Its fantastic! Navy blue velvet covers the entire underneath of the brim and just pushes this right over the edge from incredible to glorious. Label reads: Lindner-Davis ( which was only known by that name for one year), and there is a size label inside of 22 1/2. Measures just over 14" in diameter. Inside measures about 20.5" all round the inside. I believe it is meant to slightly perch as opposed to being pulled down.
Excellent vintage condition. The only real thing to note is some wear to the birdcage veiling.
