Vintage 1970s Yellow and Green Floral Maxi Dress

Toadstool Farm Vintage

Romantic floral maxi dress from the later 70s. Super resh and pretty yellow and green floral print chiffon--ey top layer over an opaque yellow acetate lining. Full length with fluttery sleeves and neckline, a yellow satin ribbon bow round the waist, and a long sweeping skirt with ruffle. Even better...there is a hook at the back bottom hem so you can bring up the chiffon-ey layer and hook it to waist to create a bustle effect in back. Thats aid, I searched and can't find a coordinating eye for that hook, so its either been removed or never existed, but it can hook to the satin ribbon, or one could always add an eye as well.  A silky rayon or poly. No label but there is a care tag so not homemade.

Excellent vintage condition. Theres a smudge of what looks like lipstick on the lining, and I spotted a one inch loose seam on the bottom ruffle round the neckline. Neither shows when worn.  Oh I did just see theres some elastic at the opening o the sleeves and the seams there have some loose bits. Not really noticeable but you could  stitch those up if you wanted.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 35"
Waist: 26"
Hips: free to 41"

Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 60"
