This comes from an enormous collection of Old Hollywood Movie Costumes I was lucky enough to stumble across. More about those later after the measurements so please read on...
Beautiful short kimono, or haori, in black and green narrow stripes. This is a man's haori, I believe, as it does not have the arm openings. Ties at the waist.  See photos.  My best guess as to age of this is 60s / 70s. Label Reads: Fashion From Orient Made in Japan.  There is a second label in Japanese, a third label that says shell is 100% nylon and padding is laminated foam and lets us know it was made in Japan. There is also a Warner Brothers label inside one arm. Fully lined in solid forest green.
Excellent vintage condition. Nothing worth noting.  Please note that all items in this Costume section may have minor other flaws ( or example; missing snaps, small areas of loose seams, pinholes, etc..)  that I have not listed as its just not possible to find and or list every minor thing as these have lived quite a life! Priced accordingly, As Is and Final Sale.
Measurements taken lying flat.
I had to measure this differently as its not only open but crosses the body and as such is so very flexible size wise. Its probably one size fits most but here are some numbers to give you and idea...
Shoulder to shoulder: About 31"
I measured straight across the back from armhole to armhole, this is NOT doubled, just straight across: 23.5"
Waist: free
Hip: free
Shoulder to bottom hem: 31"
PLEASE READ: I acquired an absolutely enormous collection of Hollywood movie costumes. Ranging across the board from Paramount, Universal, Unified Costumers and more. The last known film much of the items were used in was Lawrence of Arabia but we have no way of knowing which ones and there are others from other films. Most likely they were used on extras or smaller roles, I have not come across anything I can pinpoint to a major name from that film.  Many of these were made much earlier, and I have found dates written on tags within from as early as the 1940s, though I believe some are even earlier.  I have given as much information as I can about each item in the listing. Much has been lost to time however.  That said, these are an extraordinary piece of movie history and I'm honored to be a part of it all.
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
