This comes from an enormous collection of Old Hollywood Movie Costumes I was lucky enough to stumble across. More about those later after the measurements so please read on...
Gorgeous kimono.  Pink with an orange and peach floral pattern.  It was a costume as mentioned so I don't know FOR SURE if this was a genuine Japanese Kimono or if was made elsewhere in the traditional style but based on other kimonos Ive had I'd say its real. Fully lined. Feels and looks like a rayon or rayon blend, but the lining feels like silk.
My best guess as to age of this is about 1940s or so. It has a much newer bar code sticker from Warner Brothers. Theres a lot of fabric here, shipping reflects weight.
Good to great vintage condition. I'd say most of this, with the exception of the left shoulder, is wearable, especially with a little tlc, but it does have issues as do most of the pieces in this collection of costumes. If you are a clever seamstress and can figure out a way to patch up that shredded shoulder than yes, one could wear this.  There are some significant smudges and what look like watermarks and the bottom is fairly dingy even after my gentle cleaning.  There are some other areas that need to be restitched such as along the neck and areas of the lining that have come undone at seams, etc...and another hole in the other shoulder.  The only other area of disintegration though is the very bottom hem.  If you hemmed it shorter, that would go away. And there is still so much of this gorgeous fabric that could be upcycled or repurposed. Its just so lovely, even with it's flaws. One of my favorite things from this costume collection. Please note that all items in this Costume section may have minor other flaws ( or example; missing snaps, small areas of loose seams, pinholes, etc..)  that I have not listed as its just not possible to find and or list every minor thing as these have lived quite a life! Priced accordingly, As Is and Final Sale.
Measurements taken lying flat.
I had to measure this differently as its not only open but crosses the body and as such is so very flexible size wise. Its probably one size fits most but here are some numbers to give you and idea...
Shoulder to shoulder: About 30"
I measured straight across the back along a horizontal seam, this is NOT doubled, just straight across: 24"
Hip: free
Shoulder to bottom hem: 62" or so.
PLEASE READ: I acquired an absolutely enormous collection of Hollywood movie costumes. Ranging across the board from Paramount, Universal, Unified Costumers and more. The last known film much of the items were used in was Lawrence of Arabia but we have no way of knowing which ones and there are others from other films. Most likely they were used on extras or smaller roles, I have not come across anything I can pinpoint to a major name from that film.  Many of these were made much earlier, and I have found dates written on tags within from as early as the 1940s, though I believe some are even earlier.  I have given as much information as I can about each item in the listing. Much has been lost to time however.  That said, these are an extraordinary piece of movie history and I'm honored to be a part of it all.
Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items. I do my best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected. Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat. Any accessories shown, including crinolines, are for display only, not included unless otherwise stated.
