Vintage 1940s Dress with Soutache Trim

Incredible 1940s dress in black rayon crepe. Gorgeous soutache trim at the neckline over a sheer mesh. Oodles of horizonal pintucks across the bodice and then again across the peplum below the waist. Shoulder pads, short sleeves, a metal zipper up the back and be sure to check the back view...the way the peplum ends at a point is just beautiful. Label reads: none.

Excellent to great vintage condition. Structurally its quite excellent, just a few pea sized or smaller holes, see photos for examples, and the soutache has a couple small areas that could do with being tacked down. There is color fade all down one side strongest at the shoulder.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip
Armpit to armpit across bust: 37-38"
Waist: 27"
Hips: 38-39'
Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 43.5"
