Vintage 1950s Blue Baby Knit Cardigan with Teddy Bear Applique

Darling vintage baby sweater from the 1940s or 1950s. Blue knit with a sweet teddy bear applique, sailor collar and white buttons. No labels. Looks and feels like a wool or a soft blend to me.

Excellent vintage condition. A few open spaces in the weave, looks like a mistake in the knitting maybe? The color has some areas of faint fade, and there's some mild pilling in the knit.

Measurements: doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit: 24" at rest to 34" when stretched
Waist 24" to 32"
Armpit to shoulder: 5"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 10"
