Toadstool Farm

Northern Attitude

Toadstool Farm

I have an announcement to make and it's one I've been dreaming of for a very long time. Longer than Toadstool Farm has existed, in fact!

We are moving to Washington state!

For most of my life, since before I owned the original Toadstool Farm, back when I was in my early twenties, I have dreamed of a cottage farm with horses, goats, chickens, a cow or two and space of my own to do all the homesteady things I love best. Through a series of incredible events, it has finally happened. In a couple of weeks we will be closing escrow on our own four acre mini farm in Southern Washington, close to the greater Portland/Vancouver area.

I know many of you know how much I love the Pacific Northwest. The rain and fog and forests and ocean so close by, along with the crafty, creative energy of Portland, suits my Misfit self. I am so looking forward to bringing that energy to you through my shop, my blog and my social media.

I need to thank my family, both past and present, for supporting me in this enormous move and my customers, clients and friends for being here to help make it happen. (Ok did that sound like an Oscar acceptance speech? Ha!)  All kidding aside, it is true, and I can't wait for this next exciting chapter for Toadstool Farm. And in case you're wondering or worried, the shop will not be changing. Its will still be vintage and crafty. Though, who knows? maybe I'll add even more creative pursuits!

Don't hesitate to leave me a comment below and feel free to ask any questions! I'll see you next time!

(Darn it won’t let me just reply to my first comment in thread): Sorry, to clarify: this blog post was about you moving, but there is no mention of the horses within the big announcement. I.e. that’s a BIG move for them to come with. So I was asking if they were not going. Yes I did find the footer of course, but those were the same photos from almost 20 years ago…. When we were all in LA/Burbank. Just seeing how they were doing.

There is mention of them actually. It talks about how I dreamt of a farm “with horses…” etc… For more details about my daily life and family, including the horses and all of my animals, see my Instagram at MossandMourning. This blog post and the website in general was and is specifically aimed at my shop clientele more than my personal equine life.  But for the record, anyone who knows me knows I would never leave my horses behind.  -——- Original message -——-

Whatever happened to all the horses? I was checking back to see who you still had, but it seems the whole tribe is…. gone?

Nah… You just didn’t look close enough. At the bottom of the website in the footer is a link to Fairytale Horses. They’re all there.Jacqtoadstoolfarmvintage.com  -——- Original message -——-
